| Ok,we have 2 issues for today, the Lord Protector voting and this discussion.
We saw the grants that Somerset treasury has, and i am informed about a GRANT-Donation issued to Lord Kullers from Gloucester. He holds some 580 pounds of our treasury and some items, i think a sword and 3 breads
Lord Kulles is in head of KOP forces in Somerset with an active army and now he isnt in Somerset but in Chester to help there against WoS.
In Contact with our Citizen he respond to me this :
"The grant was given to make a new army after the first one was lost by accident when defending Bristol. I have used 200 pounds from the grant to buy a sword from myself, since there is a bug in donating to army directly from grant. The grant was given by previous Duke. Do I still have permission to use it?..."
I want to open a discussion and ask from Lady Allikath to explain some details for this, we will have only a discussion just to see if all of you want to agree for this donation or not. Just to inform us, nothing more ,and i ask her because she knows further details for this case.
If the most of you agree to keep this donation, we will start furhter negotiations with KOP for a defence treaty in order to benefit Somerset and keep an active army in his borders.

| Concilor Allikath answered to me in private for this issue, i bring here the main reason of this grant :
"The grant was for reparations when his army was accidently destroyed by the marshals in defending the power in Bristol."
Now,if any other Concillor have an objection for this grant to Citizen Kulles, lets hear his opinion, otherwise, he can keep using the grant for the purposes of KOP Corpus from Somerset.

| I am fine with Kulles using the grant for the purpose stated. I do think he should complete the terms of the grant and cancel it when completed.
I question if he fully understands how to hold a grant because he mentions being unable to donate the sword directly to the army from the grant. Perhaps some instructions on selling to market and purchasing bread and sword? And buying and selling items to transfer funds?

| I don't think it is a big deal, it is a small sum from our treasury.
I am curious though, why we gave him money to recreate his army? Is it to hire people with state points to rebuild his army? If so why has be bought a sword? I would appreciate a little clarification on this issue as I was unaware of it until this thread was posted.
I would have thought my marshals would have been crowing about defeating an army....lol.

| Actually I got a question about that time from a citizen who had been defending the power about receiving a message about having wounded someone. He wondered if his life were in danger serving as a constable. I assumed it was some sort of military exercise, and assured him that as the castle has a high defender's bonus, we would always "win." | |

| Rebo ? Well, we can handle in an other way, KOP is one of the private armies in England and with good fame. A treaty between KOP and Somerset, to cover and defend our northern borders is a solution. I remind you here that KOP already has an army in Somerset, SAS doesn't. We have 2 Army retinues -one in Bath under gregarious and one in Bridgewater always ready to act but not an army..... | |

| I believe the army disolves when the commander leaves. So we would ahve lost the army under Bellos and the Army that Hypno was working on as well. | |

| I see what brighda mean, well yes Brighda, armies create by the Citizens ingame, indvidually, we cannot raise an army as a County, but we can add- by orders to soldiers - our Units in it.
To create someone an army in game has to be Lord X 2 and to have more than one year ingame play

| Rigel of Gloucester was one of the marshals involved in the altercation with Kulles army. "He was slightly wounded by a sword cut" as was Kulles.
Kulles has sworn to defend the power in Somerset with his army and the KOP have an excellent reputation of devotion to England and the counties. I trust Kulles to do waht is right and the KOP to protect the power when needed.
The grant was for Kulles to start his army again after it had been destroyed. There is an expense in hiring for state points and getting the army formed. He was compensated for expenses lost when the army was destroyed and for the expense of starting another army in addition to lost income while defending Bristol and recovering from his wounds.
I would have no reservations in voting to grant him more funds for his army to act in Somerset's interests.

| I see myLady, You made an explanation of the situation then.
I see also a devotion of local KOP members to help in the County affairs and i have the same opinion about KOP reputation and devotion.
I will start negotiations even today with their Ambasador ,in order to bring back as soon as possible an official treaty for approval to the County Council between KOP and Somerset County and its forces.
Thank you for your clarification
