As a concerned citizen of Chard, Duchy of Somerset, I am very interested in hearing the Duchy's side of this recently released news story as well as first had accounts from the victims. Does anyone have details on what happened and why?

Military disturbance in Somerset
LONDON (AAP) - Some time in the afternoon of 22 February, the Somerset Armed Services (SAS), commanded by Lord_Justinian, engaged in a battle in Somerset which resulted in the injuries of at least three persons. It is unknown at this time if there were any fatalities.
Word has reached the AAP that among those injured were two travelers who were, at the time, not considered a threat towards Somerset nor the SAS.
Citizens involved in the attack were heard to make declarations that they were peaceful and had not hoped to engage in any conflict but had been armed and prepared to defend themselves against thieves.
A member of the SAS informed the injured citizens that she would send word to the supreme commander, Somerset Countess Suan, regarding the incident. It is possible the injured citizens may petition the Countess for compensation.
Other English citizens hoping to travel through the area now have cause to worry. Leana de Balboa, Archdeaconess of Chester Diocese, gave a copy to the AAP of a letter that she wrote to the Countess of Somerset. The letter urged the Countess to attempt to get in contact with the army commander regarding the situation as it appeared that the army was no longer following the law of its homeland. The archdeaconess noted in her letter that members of the clergy are at high risk while traveling as they are forbidden to carry arms and are thus unable to protect themselves against attacks.
