| Now that we know that we have living people it is time to work on an idea to bring to Somerset. Now there are some great ideas within this committee already. Can every one read through the old threads and then post what they would like to see up and running. New ideas are welcome.
I know Lady Bee has a werewolve game that would be fun or we could try some other type of game. |

| Werewolf? Is it like the Good, the Bad and the Innocent game in the taverns? | |

| Yes it is *has been educated in tavern about the good, bad and innocent game* Ooooo can not wait to see the murder idea on the table James *exciting* I will post a copy of the werewolve game once I get a copy of the rules encase others are unsure of what it is. If you are in Chard have a look through the forum and you should find the game there. |

| Oh I'll be in Chard tomorrow and will look. Worcester ran this game (Werewolves version) in their Inn back in March.
Okay not an idea but a strategy - maybe we can line up a "big" forum activity per month...for example: Werewolves: August Harvest Festival: September All Hallows Eve Parade and Bonfire: October A November Intertown Skills Competition (the skills could be combat or just based on our towns different strengths - woodcutting, fruit pie eating, fishing...) December Mask & Mystery January Joust February Fools Frolic (a day for bad poems, juggling and general mayhem silliness)
You get the idea...and then teams of us can divide up and focus on specific ones - spreading our energies and talents. We can also recruit new or quiet older players to help with planning - and get them more involved.
This wouldn't preclude other smaller scale forum activities. | |

| While it wasn't done last year, I believe that they used to do a ball and festival to celebrate Somerset's anniversary ... I'm currently locked out of the main forums since it's reset at this time, so I'll double check about this ... I thought it was around October ... | |

| Like I promised, I've come up with the skeletal framework of this major game I've been planning, I planned to do it in Bristol Castle, but heck, why not in County? Note, this is a skeletal frame, so its not that detailed.Murder! Murder!============================================= How to Play it? You have a Game Master, Murderer, Maybe Accomplices, Clues, Witness and a Thriller of a game. FYI, its not a "real" murder, just a game Murderer : Can be anyone, but he/she must not divulge his/her identity. Accomplices: Can be anyone, but he/she must not divulge his/her identity. Clues: A careful description of the murder scene will be mentioned in the Opening RP. Participants will have to mail the Game Master on which part of the "Murder Scene" they wish to look into. Each have access to 3 clues request. Witnesses: Anyone can be a witness, but he/she might not be telling the truth, cause he/she might be the murderer or accomplice. Thriller of a Game: Participants will have to travel to different towns to interview the Witnesses. Witnesses can be found in their town forum as well as town hall tavern. The Menu on the town hall tavern, or any participating taverns, shall include bonus "clues" on their menus. The first person who posts the accusations, backed with clues, witness statement and if they want, how the murder is done, Wins! | |

The strategy is a great idea, that way we know where we are heading. I'll have a look through Somerset hall later today and see if I can find the festival and learn more about it. |

| Alright time to get thinking again. I cannot check out your threads at the moment Revan as they keep jumping me back to the log in page, possibly cause I am in Wiltshire.
October the 28th - lets party for Somerset's third birthday. We could have a week of competition or a fair. We could end it by running the Ball with a difference, or just a birthday party. I also like the idea of the participation thread.
When I get back I will have a look at your threads and see what kind of plan I can come up with for Somerset's birthday party. Feel free to jump in with some suggestions.
Hmmm what about a thread 'Interesting stories from Somersets history' ? Where people are invited to write a short story about something that happened in the past. Stories about what makes Somerset great or not so great or just a made up story that is set in the county of Somerset. As incentive we could make it a competition with a prize for the best one.
As the 28th of October comes at around halloween we could add this to the theme, an rp of the haunted house. Some npc's as ghosts and people willing to walk into the house, they could rp being scared stiff or just make it more humour based rp. Or this could be saved until halloween which is the 31 October. |

The haunted house? *shrugs* I really have not thought it through. Can you rp a weegie board? lol I need a creative brain - any ideas on how to celebrate halloween without the dress-up party? (ooc: please note I am a kiwi and we do not celebrate this so I am clueless as to what people do at halloween) Ayahv wrote: - Quote :

I think it would be interesting to read stories about Somerset past and present. Even if they are made up ones, though the real ones are always more interesting |
