This alleged action of yours is characterised as a crime in article 2.2.2 of the Legal Corpus of Somerset, which dictates:
Art. 2.2.2. : A robbery is defined as any action, the goal of which is to steal the goods of someone else. This is a moderate crime. A violent robbery is defined as any action, the goal of which is to steal the goods of someone else through the use of violence. This is a serious crime. Organized robbery is defined as any action of robbery that negates the liberty of movement of the citizens and of goods in the Duchy. This is an infamous crime. The sentence for this crime are described in Article 2.1.2 and Article 2.1.3
You have the right to representation by a defence counsel.
Confession of a crime can lower the degree of the sentence.
No Witnesses are available to the court save the documentation of the event.
You have the right to make use of the Criminal Injury Compensation Commission in the payment of any fines you are asessed for the commission of this crime in part or in whole of your sentencing on the aforementioned matter should you be convicted of said crime. First defence pleading - Quote :
- Dear Lords and Ladies of the Court, I first wish to say that I can serve as a Witness for the prosecution if it so pleases the Judges, for I was there and saw the whole thing.
It is true I bopped the Captain on the head. I know not what he is Captain of, and hope it is not of something important, for I am unarmed, naked, starved and without Strength, and he just opened his purse! Thus I daresay you should be wary of what this person is supposed to defend! So, I confess to robbing the incompetent soul (but it was 128 pounds and 30 pence, the figures are wrong ; but the rest seems correct). Thus I plead Guilty for Art. 222, with Violence, but I do not see what the Organized Robbery has to do with this case, since I acted alone, and did not negate his liberty of movement... far to the contrary, I lightened his load and speeded it up! But I do not ask for any leniency in that regard, it was just my thought on what I feel I should be punished for. Thank you for this fine Legal System! Prosecutor indictment - Quote :
- Your Honor
The defenedant has acknowledged guilt of the serious crime of violent robbery, as such his guilt in the aforementioned matter is not in contest.
The people, however, wish to present the court with the proof of aggravating circumstances in this case which weigh heavily on the appropriate sentencing of the defendent.
The defendant has openly shown a complete lack of remorse for this crime to the extent of bragging about said crime in his ingame Profile.
The People provide your Honor with a copy of the above:

"You have made a terrible mistake in robbing me i have reported you and you will be proscuted. You should have picked a different target. as i am Kop and WA ig Big mistake to rob me"
The defendant has furthermore opened a Tavern for the sole purpose of braggary about said crime which is evident both in the signage of said Tavern and in the menue offerings:
The people provide your Honor with copies of both:
Johnthan & Bakfyre Owner: Menetounahon Bartender: Johnthan Beer for 0,50 pound, Menus from 5,00 pounds You have robbed Bakfyre. You have robbed Johnthan.

The Defendant is seeking to incite public disorder with such inflammatory signage and menue offerings as well as seeking to profit from his crimes by offering for sell the spoils of his crime in his tavern to the people of Bridgewater.
Given the extent of this defendents complete disdain of the laws of Somerset and the utter lack of remorse for this crime and his numerous attempts to advertise the crime further adding to the pain and suffering of the Plaintiff, the people ask that He be given the maximum sentencing for the SERIOUS Crime he has committed which under Somerset Law is EXILE.
See Art. 2.2.2. : A violent robbery is defined as any action, the goal of which is to steal the goods of someone else through the use of violence. This is a serious crime.
SeeArt. 2.1.1.: Each criminal convicted by the Judge will receive a sentence. This sentence is proportional to the crime that has been committed.
Art. 2.1.2. : The various sentences of Somerset Duchy are : i. Public apology in the appropriate Town hall or the Duchy hall. ii. Fine iii. Jail time; for a light sentence, jail time is less than or equal to 3 days. iv. Jail time; for a heavy sentence, jail time is greater than or equal to 3 days. v. Exile vi. Capital sentence by hanging, decapitation, burning. Nobles cannot be hanged.
Art. 2.1.3. : Crimes are divided in four categories : Light crime, moderate crime, serious crime, infamous crime. i. Light crimes have a sentence of degree i to ii (Article. II.1.2) ii. Moderate crimes have a sentence of degree ii to iii (Article. II.1.2) iii. Serious crimes have a sentence of degree ii to v (Article. II.1.2) iv. Infamous crimes have a sentence of degree ii to vi (Article. II.1.2)
The people feel that any sentence less than EXILE is a miscarriage of Justice in this case and would set the precedent that cime does pay in Somerset.
The people rest. Last defence pleading - Quote :
- The defendant didn't present to the Court.
The defence called Johnthan His statement: - Quote :
- Thank you, Basicly this is what happen. I was on a escort mission that had fell through in the town of Sal. So i thought i continue on to Glouchester and vist the town and some ig family and friends. When i arrived there i found that i was robbed by Menetounahon of everything in my posession expect my shield and shaft. I lost money, Corn and a wood bushel. i ask the court that i be compensated for my losses. Thank you.
The defence called Bakfyre His statement: - Quote :
- The man there, Menetounahon, as you called him, did rob me of all my gold as well as the only food I had. I was not a rich man. I had but 20 gold and a loaf of bread, but it would have been plenty to see me into Gloucester where I could get a job. I do pray that the court sees fit to return to me at least the bread that I feed myself and keep up my strength so I can work.
The prosecutor called Johnthan His statement: - Quote :
- Your honor, i just like to see prosecution in this case to the full extent of the law, The defendent is not remorsefull and has even gone to use my money he stole from me to set up a tavern and name me a bartender and glout about it. He has no respect for the law he needs to be punished. Thank you.
The prosecutor called Chardonnay His statement: - Quote :
- Your honor, I did on 7 April 1455 notice a new tavern in my town. Upon further investigation, I found that it had been opened by the defendant in this case, had been named after his two victims, that one of said victims had been named bartender, and that the description of said tavern included the bald statements, "You have robbed Bakfyre.
You have robbed Johnthan." Upon entering the tavern and looking at the menu, I found that the only menu item is "Stolen Corn".
I then looked at the defendants' profile, and found that he had posted the details of those thieverys in his self-description, to wit:
"Role Play description
06-04-2007 04:12 : You have robbed Bakfyre who owned 12,02 pounds. 03-04-2007 04:13 : You have fought with Johnthan (Fight coefficient 2), who tried to resist you. It's a triumph: you forced him to open his purse. 03-04-2007 04:13 : You have robbed Johnthan who owned 128,30 pounds and some items. "You have made a terrible mistake in robbing me i have reported you and you will be proscuted. You should have picked a different target. as i am Kop and WA ig Big mistake to rob me""
His profile also indicates that he has gone into retreat, and I do find him on the list of the people in the Town of Bridgewater. Statement of accusation - Quote :
