Hallo fellow council members.

As captain of my previous term I have worked on creating some new ranks for our soldiers.
These ranks are used for roleplay ONLY since the game is not coded to support this.

Nevertheless I think bringing them into gameplay these extra ranks will help further additional roleplays and generally improve the structure of our SAS.

First I will recommend these ranks for the bowmen of the SAS.
As some of you may know, we have in Chard already a full working squad of archers ready to serve SAS.

Bowman ranks

Archer = Yeoman
Requirements: None, activity

Bowman = Pikeman
Requirements: 15 Days of Service, 10 SP, Equipped with a shaft at the minimum
(shaft = bow)

Bowman 1st Class-Man-at.arms
Requirements: 30 Days of Service, 20 SP, Equipped with a shaft at the minimum
(shaft = bow)

Huntsman = Horseman
Requirements: 45 Days of Service, 5 Action points, 50 SP, Equipped with a shaft at the minimum
(shaft = bow)

Master Huntsman = Cavalier
Requirements: 60 Days of Service, 10 Action points, 75 SP, Equipped with a sword at the minimum
(Sword = Superior Longbow)

Ghillie = Squire
Requirements: 75 Days of Service, 15 Action points, 100 SP, Equipped with a sword at the minimum
(Sword = Superior Longbow)

Master Ghillie = Knight (need another rank for troopers with shields)
Requirements: 100 Days of Service, 25 Action points, 150 SP, Equipped with a sword at the minimum and shield
(Sword = Superior Longbow)

This ranking structure will be active only when it has been approved by the council of Somerset.

NOTE: These title are only for rp's sake. Bows are NOT coded ingame.
Insignias for these different ranks WILL be created and I have already a person for the job.

I have also made a ranking system for soldiers wishiing to follow the calling of saving lives.

Medical corps ranking system

Yeoman = Intern
Requirements: None, activity

Pikeman = Medic Assistant
Requirements: 15 Days of Service, 10 INT, Equipped with a shaft at the minimum
(shaft = medic kit)

Man at Arms = Medic
Requirements: 30 Days of Service, 20 INT, Equipped with a shaft at the minimum
(shaft = medic kit)

Horseman = Field Medic
Requirements: 45 Days of Service, 5 Action points, 50 INT, Equipped with a shaft at the minimum
(shaft = medic kit)

Cavalier = Doctor
Requirements: 60 Days of Service, 10 Action points, 75 INT, 10 SP, Equipped with a sword at the minimum
(Sword = surgeons kit)

Squire = Field Surgeon
Requirements: 75 Days of Service, 15 Action points, 100 INT, 10 SP, Equipped with a sword at the minimum
(Sword = surgeons kit)

Knight : Medical Chief
Requirements: 100 Days of Service, 25 Action points, 150 INT, 10 SP, Equipped with a sword at the minimum and shield
(Sword = surgeons kit)

Now we will need a 7th rank for foot soldiers (the original ranking system) and I suggest

Knight
Requirements: 100 Days of Service, 25 Action points, 150 SP, Equipped with a sword at the minimum and shield.

I do need feedback on a matter. For the Medical corps I have used same requirements as the original ranking system. I don't know whether I should change the strength req. for medics to intelligence instead.

So to sum up ... I am asking for approval of the 2 new rankings systems with a possible alteration in the medical one changing str. to int.
I am asking for approval for the addition of Knight rank to the existing rankings system

The insignias will be up for review when and if I get the the councils approval

Medals will also be implemented and have already been made ready for review but one thing at the time.
Please comment on these issues.

Father Teagan ... Chaplain ranks is also in place but would you like for the rankings system to hold an apprentice ?

YES,
you got my vote, this will only benefit the SAS army and it will refresh a little our ranks.

We also need new Insignia, look forward for it.

PS:Maybe you had to make a poll voting , would be easier for the result.

Congrats for your efforts Councilor study

I'd be careful about the Knight rank. Isn't there an RP rank for the various knightly orders?

Thank you for your positive remarks.
I did consider making a poll but I wanted feedback first.

I'm very pleased that now one councillor has voiced his opinion and a positive one too.

What did you think of the requirements for medics.
Should the strength be swapped for intelligence. ?

Good ideas, Bellos. As to the Medci,yes, intelligence should count primarily and maybe some strength be required as a supplement.

I will change the higher lvl position so that only men of science can obtain these positions.

And as for the int + str. It makes sense Poliphilus. Field equipment is heavy and thus higer ranking medics will have to have a bit of str too.

Thank you for the input

Updated

Int is now primary requirement for medics.

Knight class will be implemented as 7th rank in the originally ranking system.

Chaplain rank will gain an apprentice if Father Tegan thinks this wise.

Suggestions are always welcome.

A vote will be put in forum if no more comments are added.

Im sorry for taking the matters into my own hands thus speeding up the process Smile

I have a creative mind working on the insignias and would like to get her started on making these new additions.

Thank you all for your feedback
