Hello fellow councillor, i am writing this because i am both Mayor of Bristol and the only active councillor active living there. We are in bad situation, we do not get enough people to replace the deadretreated ones. The main problem is the town militia, they are burning the town budget, we losing a lot of money. We do not have enough income to compensate and what i fear is that in a month or maximum 2 Bristol will be in debt with nothing in it's inventory except axes. I try my best to make money but with around 15 actives citizens only i can't go far. I really try hard to get people active but even those that i've helped in the tavern or mail quit. So far i only have 2 citizens quite actives, all the rest i know they log in but never saw them.

So maybe we could start talking about an action plan if Bristol come close to be in debt. I will also today or tomorrow mail Ljs about the situation. The admins have a part of responsability in this, since they created new counties/colonies only a short time after our capital creation and since then, we barely have new citizen, even less actives one.

Given the situation in Bristol, I believe we need to take action to keep it from bankruptcy. I propose that the county subsidize the militia. I don't know that we need to pay all the costs, but I think we need to do something, and this is the most direct action I can think of.

no.

as a regular visitor to exeter I have seen similar problems there. The citizens there -especially syounger, drrino, lynet and of course the mayor seer (apologies if i miss anyone, but not that they can read it here) are going to great lengths to get activity.

We can't always be appealing to ljs - that is the weak way. Jah and the King created somerset, let us live with what we have been given and be thankful for it. Soon after chard was created we lost colony status when bridgewater was created. A similar thing I remember sajan arguing for bath. Yet both towns are thriving. que sera sera.

maybe you should try bathing in one of the streams, if it were not for the rotting fruit in bridgewater I could smell you all the way down here in chard.

we can put marshals from the County in Bristol for some days and Dralon to pull back the Militia, this is easy to make from Constable's menu....
The offers will apear at the Ordinary Job announcements link of the Town Hall.

Just say so and we will propose something...

And Teagan, spare us a little, how much you will embaras yourself,
are you not enough clown to keep doing that instead of helping ?

I think 3 ordinary Marshal are enough each day ? what do you think ?

we have of course to give at least 17.00 p. with the current wages of Mines.

I do not see any problem with informing the King of the state of affairs in the Duchy and outlining the perceived role the introduction of 2 new counties at once had on the fledgling capital.

It will provide him with future intel to better base the growth and timing of growth of the Kingdom on.

In the meantime I am not opposed to subsidizing the cost of maintaining law and order in the capital as we search for a long time solution.

Now we all know that town militia of the capital is them also that protect the castle if the town don't have money for militia is the castle and the county that can be take over. so raise marshalls and raise more any way to rpoect capital with army ig open to lot of people we need more then the 4 town militia and the 1 C marshalls...
