| I think the sheriff seriously need to check how to put back mine number at normal level because for two week the number of miner really s... and that can be a serious trouble in short term.
Because by what i see stone and iron mine are low, that makes we need to import more iron and stone and increasing the spending, since it's cost more to import stone then produce it.
And also if gold mine go lower that means the funds of the county will get lower, for months number are very high and the county live on it and count it. If that enter of money go to thin may cause serious harm into the finance of the county.
Try find a solution with the MS about it.
I dunno saturday marathon example, explain to people that sturday they get fully paid 17p because the other half is giving sunday that means a full 17p.
Just the addition of that can help greatly the county ... but need solution fast if number go lower, the county can loose money ...

| I reported to you before the elections that the BW stone quarry workers had dropped from full capacity. The number of workers in the iron mine actually increased and was full on many days. The two mines seemed to exchange the average amount of workers. The two gold mines have remained consistent with the amount of workers they have always had despite the addition of potential workers from Bristol.
Of course it is a little difficult to follow now as the MS does not make reports or indulge in the business of his office. I am sure the expansion of the new county of Lancaster and the IRL summer season have a lot to do with recent changes in the amount of mine workers.

| i doubt, new colony often raise number after a week since older player move and replace by level 0 that need to work in mines and older player with two field provide more job then level 0 with out one...
Summer vacation maybe, but i never number drop so low in both iron and stone ...
We need to check about it, and try to find solution about it ... because that can become a trouble ...

| I did already raise the fact that we need to encourage more mine workers in my sheriff's reports. I also made comments to encourage people to work in the mines in my tavern public notice in Bath, and I have mentioned the issue in forum posts and in PMs to people I've seen taking lower paid jobs in Bath. I agree with Hypno, the mines are very important to Somerset. I think summer holidays and retreats may be part of the reason, as well as new colonies. I also feel that not enough people realise that the mine wages are £17 now, as I still see many people offering jobs at less than this and people take those jobs.
I would appreciate some help in getting the message out from other councillors, in particular our spokesperson and Mines Superintendant.

| Good suggestions. Just remember, the forums reach a very limited portion of the population. Short of a full blown letter writing campaign, it is very difficult to inform people in game of developments such as the 17P wage for mines. | |

| The town hall message board can be used for this. Also it could be included in the mayor's mass mailing message and the town mentor's letter. We do that in GC but the effectiveness is not evident. | |

| It would be so nice if the county could send a mass mailing sometimes ... to let people know how badly we need the mines full of workers, to let people know about the loan program, to remind them all of the miners lottery ... *sigh* | |

| Aye the mine lottery was well attended previously in Bath. Not as well now. The mayor does suggest that the mines are a good destination for 0 and level 1's in Bath as well. Effectiveness is not apparent here either. | |

| I've put a message on the scroller in Somerset, mentioning that the mines pay 17, and that there's a miners' lottery. | |

| The scroller is a great way to get the message out, and Chardonnay is to be commended for the unselfish way she has provided that at her own expense for everyone's benefit. Thanks, Chardy! | |
