Okay, we all know, that there are A LOT of people leaving to Scotland (if they already haven't). Do we have a plan of action? As I have never been on Council during the creating of new colonies, I do not know if there is something we should do as the leaders of Somerset.

How will this affect our town's economies? County economy? Morale of the people leaving and those being left behind? Are any of us planning on leaving? And anything that will help us understand and deal with the situation at hand. etcetera.

There are a lot of hard feelings flying around, and PLEASE, I beg you, do not use this thread to talk about who is responsible for people leaving. I have already heard a ton of accusations in every which way. Accusations are not going to help us at all. Let us all talk about things we can do to help the situation.

In peace,

Truly I am not sure there is anything we can do. Those that will leave will leave or are already gone. Nothing we can say will sway them at this point.

There was discussion elsewhere last time of asking LJS to help with the fodder shortage. I do not know if this was tried or not. We may have trouble with local economies due to loss of skilled workers and tradesmen. I think we should keep a closer eye on the town markets to see if anyone is coming up short of vital supplies. Then it would be up to the TM to try and alleviate theses shortfalls. I a sure she is already doing so to the best of her considerable abilities.

Any other ideas? It is very later at the moment my mind is not moving that well.

As far as economics we should be all right.
Fodder will not be a problem and we should have enough goods to supply mayors with needed commodities.

The problem is people but we are supplied with new people every day. We need to get them involved and interested in the game.

Perhaps a county wide tutoring program.

It also wouldn't hurt to start haveing mayors meet with council occasionally to relay the status of their towns.

We desperately need more cooperation and communication through out the county.
We need to address the SAS as well and see where we stand in terms of man power and who has moved away.

There are things we can do. We just need to do them and motivate others to communicate more.

I agree with our Dutchess; we need to look on this as an opportunity to get new people more involved!

Well on spiritual side, bristol and gloucester are with out priest.

But my opinion is maybe a change of attitude is needed more then mentorship. Is good to bring new people active but when they left after each election digusting by both the sides maybe all should but some will and political fight must stop.

LOF, SNP all suffer from this massive exode of people, lot of teacher, lot of level 2 move many second field go that way making less job, ok that will raise the mine numbers but even so, it's slow down the advance of lower level because many seocnd field are also stats job that help new level 1 that just get full stats to get better paid and raising faster to level 2 that way.

All this is result of long fight, at my opinion very too long fight, and that fight exist for longer that hypno even come in England and start just before i was in Bridgewater 1 year and an half ago.

Stop the fight, unite force, and begin both side to put water in your wine, maybe think to make one list party together. This most stop, and somerset suffer right now like they never suffer before because of all that.

Put difference be side and work has one for Jah sake!

Me I will leave because the church of Scotland will be a completly new church, and there I know i will be needed but i still gives until tomorrow to change minds because is with regret i will move from the town that been my home since level 0, but if fight continue like i see this afternoon on forum sorry but my decission will be fast to takes.

I agree we have fought for too long; perhaps one list is a good idea and maybe some new faces would help too!

While the idea of one list is a radical and interesting one, I am not sure if it is the best idea. I am also not saying that I oppose it. There are just a lot of potential issues that need to be discussed, and only 4 days until "election season".

Who will be on a combined list? What order? Would we be pre-picking a Duchess/Duke? Would we be limiting the options of the Somerset people? Can we really rally behind a single platform? Do we have enough people for two (or more) lists? Would keeping the same two (or more) lists just continue a bad cycle? Does everyone respect each other enough to work on the same list?

Those are just a few of the questions that need to be discussed.

For Somerset!

As far as I'm concerned, SNP is dead. I shall not try to revive it. I have not formed plans beyond that, but i tell you all truly that right now i am not having fun with the game. The people I IG "grew up" with have all moved, as have most of my political allies. I have not yet decided upon my actions, but I cannot in conscience run on a LoF/UWS ticket.

I mention this here to be fair.

I as well in no way ascribe to the values and ethics of the UWS party and will not run on a ticket that is associated in any way.

I think that is all very fair to say. I am sure most people would have a hard time running under a ticket of the oppositional party.

It is very difficult when our friends move away, it hit me hard when I found out some of my good mates were leaving, and I believe BW was hit a lot harder than Chard. I feel for you, m'lady. I am sad to hear that you are no longer having fun with the game, and I imagine you are not the only one in this room who feels that way. I personally hope you decide to run again for council, under which ticket does not matter to me, because you do a good service to our county and I enjoy working with you.

I am fairly sure that most people would have a lot more fun if we all conducted ourselves in a more respectful manner. So...lets do it.

me neither i cannot run under UWS and massif exode happen here and in lancaster both UWS new elected council. It's not a random event, some should really look into a mirror and question their self. Personally I will move because a new church need help and skilled church way so the church way there, right now are all new level 3 church way need a teacher for the skill and the church will need a bishop and cardinal there.

And further more, i fell that politic of Somerset overstep the bound to be just a game, I have seen so much hate and anger occ about it, i have seen my brother in anger IRL like I never see him before, and my brother is a very clam here and in my entire life i only see him 5 time get that anrgy, that means is not little thing. Some really need to look on how they act toward other.

But well Somerset have all the thing created and organize by hypno, sajan and lately chardonnay and if this council don't do dumb move, thing should be ok. But if you fail, you will not be enable to put that on someone else, you got teh power, you are the one in charge, don't forget it.
