lost newbie

Well, after a busy weekend of labor day activities with family, I find myself suddenly on the council.

Needless to say, this is a most unexpected turn of events. I wont even pretend that I am in the least way qualified to be here, but having found myself here I will do my best. If only because I feel we've had more than enough resignations already.

Thank you Lady Chardonnay for getting me set up with access so promptly, and for your warm welcome. I have been steering clear of political stuff for a while now, so I am a bit behind the curve on current issues.

Can anyone help a rookie with a few questions?

1. Are there any ongoing votes at the moment? I can't tell which are open and which are concluded.

2. Am I now a member of parliment also? IF so, who do I see for access there? [It would be cool to be able to vote for regent. ]

3. What else ought I to know, or where do you recommend I begin? [there is a lot of stuff to go through and I am NOT a clever person. I am a very slow learner.]

Thank you all in advance. I realize these are probably silly questions, but as I say, I'm a bit of a dunce about this stuff.

1)yes and you should vote as the person you are replacing has not; I believe.

2) Yes you are a member of parliment, you should have access now, but, if you don't write Isabella. Yes you have a right to vote in any Parlimentary poll now!

3) aww I doubt that from your post here, but, look through the announcements and stickies; it should give you some idea and ask questions. We are happy to help you and Welcome!

Actually I do have a follow up question. Or a clarification of an earier question.
Are there any in-game votes underway at the moment? If so how do i I get to them. I looked around the castle, but saw nothing that looked like a vote.

Welcome Atri,

No there are no in game votes at the moment. We are waiting to consolidate all the changes voted to the legal corpus so it can all be done with one vote.

I will add you to the RK council list and then you will have access to parliament, sorry about the delay but with the rash of resignations we have had I was waiting to see if you intended to serve or resign.

She lies! Atri is incredibly clever and NOT a slow learner. At all!

That being said, I recommend you start with the public council room. Most of the votes and important stuff happens there. You should vote on anything that is an ongoing vote in which Bellos has not voted. I recommend reading as much as you have time for, it is all informative in one way or another.
