Regency Question

I know he is spending his time with his wife and new son, which is how it should be, yet the important position of the Regency is in effect vacant as he hasn't really done much in over a week and there is no indication of a change for a while in this pattern. Is there any provision for how we have a temporary regent or something in the Regency charter?
