| We still need to address the problems in Bristol. The topic has been raised repeatedly, but other concerns seem to keep pushing a long term solution to the background.
Shall we offer subsidies? At what level, and how much, and how many? I think we need fewer level one's, as Bristol seems to be growing some now, but there are NO level 2 or 3 players there. The 10 or so level one players are all growing wheat or corn, save one veggie farmer. Do we need to subsidize a couple of cow or pig ranchers?
I think we should offer level 2 or 3 players reimbursement for the costs of having to rebuild their workshops, but hedge it by requiring that they stay in Bristol for at least 3 months, or the 500 pounds becomes a debt to the county. 10 or 15 players should be enough. I don't, at this point, think we'd need to subsidize level one's.
I will bring this to a vote in 2 days. I would prefer to get some input from the rest of the council before I phrase that vote. | |
