It has been proposed by Lord Hypno that we employ two armies to protect Somerset.
A northern army stationed in Gloucester and a southern army stationed in Bridgewater.
These two towns have been selected because of their strategic location near our bordors.

I would also like to propose that even though there is only one council position of captain Lord Bellos be given the rank of captain in the SAS with all accompanying duties and responsibilites. With two armies we will need two captains.

Captain Hypno would command the northern army with Lt. Gregorious and acting Lt.Loxley and the soldiers of Bath and Gloucester under his command.

Captain Bellos would command the southern army with Lt. Mike Black and Lt. Timari and the soldiers Chard and Bridgewater under his command.

Any soldiers from Bristol could remain in the capital to help the county militia protct the town and act as an advance guard to the road from Wiltshire.
Once Bristol is fully coded and the council and university is housed there an elite force could be formed for Bristol like the Vatican guard.

What do you think? Comments. Suggestions. Dissentions.

Is the reason for the southern army being stationed in BW because it is closer to our capitol, Bristol? Because Chard boarders two counties, whereas BW is only bordering one. Not to mention Chard is the home of Lord Bellos.

But I do think it is a good idea seeing as our county is very prosperous and large.

It would be because both the southern roads coming into somerset pass thru BW only one passes thru Chard.
Chard could as easily have the army stationed there if it is decided that would be the best thing to do.

I will gladly take on the job leading our southern army. As I stated in the council to I have an active army all ready operating. If however I step down as captain of the armed forces my army will disband in 5 days. Hypno and Kulles are both level 3 and can make an army without he captaincy and I therefore think it prudent that I stay on as captain.
If Hypno is made captain I will respect this decision and reform the army on my own.
It will take me considerable time and money but it can be done.

For the safety of Somerset I motion for the council and the citizens of Somerset to keep me as acting captain.

Thank you

Thank you, Lord Bellos

Due to the fact Lord Hypno is away due to illness in the family I will temporarily assign you the captaincy so the army will not disband and in light of Kulles forming his own army without prior notification of council I think it is prudent at this time.

I have messaged Lord Kulles about this and our concerns but as yet I have not received a reply.
He will of course be charged with treason as it violates the laws of somerset.

Two armies seems prudent. Can I ask, how far does an army travel? 2 spaces I assume. If an army is fully composed of in game House of Lords nobles will it be able to travel 3 spaces?

Hypno I have been reserving my opinion until you have expounded on this issue so all the relevant facts are in play, will you still be providing this information?

Someone told me there was a limit on the amount of soldiers in one army so perhaps three or more might be necessary. I don't know if this is the case but if so then several armies may be necessary eventually as we have the need and the resources.

Two armies, the main reason for two, is to not have all the soldier stuck in the same place example one army IG all soldier in with and the army is in chard and suddenly we get attack by army ig of worcester in gloucester that make three day trip to takes back the town.

Other reason for two, the king ask that we help then solve trouble example in Stafford and we sent an army IG better to have two one that go and one that stay in the defense of the capital and the surounding in case some low life try to profit of national war to attack when troops are out ...

Now to have an army some requirement are there

Be a lord of house of lord IG (two time lordship IG) or be captain

Be playing this game from more then a year.

And after that you need army point and two more person, one in logistic and one in treasuary.

Then all armed group IG can fuse with the army at the approbation of the commander of the army IG.

the best defense for somerset will be to have an army in Gloucester (north pretty volatile right now and ca explode any day) and one in chard or Bridgewater i favorise more bridgewater because one day from both Bath and chard and bristol.

For that need two army commander that means the captain and a lordship.

The army should be just enough to take out creation phase, that means get 60 army point and pass two day, then have the two guys needed. Armed group will fuse with them if needed... and each lieutenant of SAS must do a list of the different squadron they have (group of 5 no lordship or group of 8 lordship) so we can know how much soldier can be mobilize and the fastest way.

With this idea the army cost a minimum to the county (the 60 army point) and only cost something if mobilize and peopel join. By doing in advance that prevent the day to collect the 60 point and the two days waiting to get out creation phase ...

I already have 94 points for my army. Have only one time lordship but that can be solved quickly.

Now before I choose to spend another my last token on an ingame lordship I sure would like to know the plans for our armies AND the practical ways to do this in order to the line of command.

Well ... I still think it would de a shame to disband this army considering the work put into it. Is it possible to give control of an army to another player ?

I was thinking if I gave Hypno the command of my army ?
