I know this will not be popular as the battle to the North is not deemed to be a Somerset matter. But I have great admiration for the people that have answered the call to defend England. We have been away from our home for two weeks now. We are ready to put our lives on the line for Kind and country to keep all English peoples free to determine their won future.

We have not been able to tend our farms, most are level 1 people that can ill afford to be away this long yet I have seen no desertion from our ranks. We carry the flag of Somerset high and proud before all of England.

I propose that then these citizens of Somerset return home they receive a pension of 300 pounds for having gone out to represent Somerset so faithfully, for having answered the call of duty, for having raised the honour and respect due Somerset through their actions and loyalty.

None of them has asked this of me to do this. None have asked to be paid. I will forgo any participation in this offer if it is granted as I am well established and can afford this time away from my farms.

The names I know of are:

Lady Brighda of Chard
Lady Clasp of Bath
Dwymilic of Chard
Xzslayerzx of Chard
Aaike7 of Bath
Grafas of Bath
Rocigalgo of Bath
[Cow] of Gloucester
Cesog of Bath
tamster of Bath
Lethion of Bath

These men and woman have put their lives on the line and their futures in doubt for all of us. It is over 3000 Pounds I ask for a mighty sum I understand. What is the price of freedom?

Lord Kulles commands this army he is also from Gloucester. I have not added his name. But if this action is given consideration I will ask if he wishes to take part in it. I doubt he will want any commission for doing his duty. Others may also opt out. But I will not ask them until I know if this idea has merit.

I suggest this thread be moved to the private council chambers as it reveals sensitive information.
I am in agreement with the idea.

I think it became a Somerset issue the second our brave citizens agreed to help England. Our treasury should be used for our citizens. It does us no good sitting in our vaults - the only thing that does is make us a good looking target for invaders.

As much as I am personally against the use of force, I am not against supporting our citizens. I know too well the pains of travel; it does some serious damage to your savings.

Not only that, Somerset is part of England. When England is attacked, Somerset has the duty to respond. I would hope that if Somerset were attacked, our neighbors would come to our aid. These brave warriors are risking their lives for the good of England, which will benefit Somerset. Anytime you travel outside of the county, you are essentially an ambassador for all things good about Somerset. I assume all of our warriors have conducted themselves in a manor fitting of carrying the flag of Somerset.

I think we should set aside these funds to assist our noble warriors. They should receive their 300 pounds assuming they have behaved in good conduct. Lord Gregarious should give us a report upon his safe return to home, and if the report is good, all the funds set aside should be allocated to the warriors.

In the future, we should discuss these things prior to the warriors leaving. I do not fault anyone for not doing so this time around; let us learn from it.

Please, most importantly, return home safely.

I, too, have heard this. As a councilor and a warrior, if Greg or Brighda would be willing to give us any news from the front line, that would be great. Perhaps we could create a report for warriors (in the report section) for anyone to give updates.

I would like to see the pension agreed on. I will be honest it would help me reach level 3. More importantly it would help our level 1s tremendously. Some have already gone hungry because of the extended time in the field. And because we have often been on the move without rest for days. I moved from Worchester to Birminghan then back to Worcester and now I am en route to Birmingham again. The good folk in my lance have followed orders without complaint they deserve honor and recognition from Somerset and all of England.

I am proud that so many of the SAS answered the call. I am proud of those who serve with me. Three of five within my lance are from Somerset, Tamster, Flareshadow, Merlyna, Aaike7, Horace_the_iii.

There is a possibility that I will be given command of a new division as our army continues to grow. We are on the verge of battle and prospects are good that we will defeat the rebels. News is that by our actions drawing the rebels out of Chester; has allowed forces loyal to England to retake the town from them. However, sad to say battle must still be joined to soundly defeat them so they can not repeat their deeds.
I will fight if I must, but my purpose and my duty is to tend the wounded. Many will perish in battle but many more will perish of wounds unless I and the other medics do our utmost.

However without the support of many we would have falterd. Mayors of towns we have passed through have called on their citizens to give us food and shelter. I am sure that many in Somerset have aided in our support and I thank all of them.

You have my word on it Brigdha, we talked with greg about it and as far as I see most of the councilors are for it.

As for the news, we are informed well, more than well i can tell you.
Hope the best for our Warriors and to come back safe in our homeland.

Keep the faith high.

Battle has been joined.

I have been wounded but not killed. Few reports of casualties on our side. The NNGO army has been smashed for now.

Anto has also been wounded and his second in command has been killed on the battle field. Somersets armed forces have stood the test of fire and have held their ground.

Tell our weavers to use a few more hides next time they make shield Smile Mine is gone as is my sword. But now I have something to make when I return home.

Thanks be to Jah I have lived through this day.
