Dear fellow councilors and citizens of Somerset

The next week is the Passover with Good Friday and Easter as the feasts of celebration. Like we have done in the past, I forward a proposal to provide subsidized food (both stat food and bread) to the citizens through the taverns.

Proposed plan : For the 3 days of Good Friday to Easter, the town hall taverns will offer bread at 5p with addition to vegetables/fruit at 8p each. And finally the day after Easter, on Monday the 9th, there will be a meat festival to celebrate the end of Lent (meat will be offered at 12p).

Proposed funding for the celebration will be :
2p for each loaf of bread for a total of 400p (100p for 50 bread to each town)
3p for each vegetable/fruit for a total of 600p (150p for 50 veg/fruit to each town)
5p for each piece of meat for a total of 400p (100p for 20 meat to each town)

Total proposed outlay : 1400p

Next we need RP programs for the celebration. We need to invite Father Apocas to conduct ceremonies over the course of the 3 days. Any suggestions for RP programs are welcome..

Citizens who would like to bring up suggestions, please do so at https://somerset.rpg-board.net/The-council-of-Somerset-c11/Counsellors-offices-c12/The-trade-minister-office-f45/DISCUSSION-RP-celebration-Passover-week-and-Easter-t260.htm

I support this funding. We won't lose that much money, it will lower veggie/fruits stock all over the county and it will give our citizens a reason to celebrate and role play.

I hope we will support many more events like these in the future Smile

Yes, you hit the nail exactly on the head, Dralon

One reason for these feasts is to reduce overproduction... vegetables and fruits are in excess production right now in all the 4 towns

And the meat is to help people build up their strength for Somerset's defense

I support this wholeheartedly. Such celebrations bring more citizens into the tavern, giving those who are active more chance to meet them, talk with them, and engage them more wholly into the RK community.

And everyone likes cheap food! But ... only 20 meat? And a 5p subsidy on meat really puts the price at 12.5p, not 12p ... but I quibble ...

Well the price on the meat was set at 17 (thats what the county inventory values meat at). If you want it at 12.50p or even 13.0p since meat is usually 17.50-18p, then fine by me.

As for 20 meat, thats still 20 people in one day in each town. If we increase the number of meat pieces, we must increase the price slightly as well.
