| I hate to ask this, but if I am not mistaken the Dice Roll option is not permitted in the other forum, are we planning to hold this festival in here, or there?
Sorry I haven't been active in here much lately, for I have had my own to attend to. I hope this goes well, and will help mend the ties we have with Bridgewater, and other towns.
As for the name I like: "The Woodchuck Festival" or "Woodstock 1455"
I'm afraid that I won't be to active in this though, for it parallels my own RP. I apologize for that. I would be willing to donate either Milk or money for prizes though.

| oh barerose, I love you any objections to 'The Woodchuck Festival' (I like this one because it seems more related to what we're doing) also, I cant remember if I mentioned this, but, King and Queen of the festival? that would be fun. People nominate, then vote and the winners get pretty wooden crowns! In a few hours I'm going to post a little teaser in Somerset Inn, any ideas what to include/what not to include? I'm no good at keeping secrets |

Thorpe Actually sir, I think Lady M will get broader circulation with a separate forum post. The Pulp will add to her announcement, but I am not sure that enough people read it for it to be the PRIMARY announcement source. Marshy ma'am, I think you should make the announcement / invitation soon, according to the timeline we mentioned earlier in this thread. If Brish doesn't put a paper out today, I will make one tomorrow and mention the festival. [unless you tell me to hold off.] Atri ready to start spreading the word, once that word is given

| I could also post something about it in the Town Council's thread if someone can give me some sort of letter or something like that to be kind of standard that we could all post around or I don't know something similar. Sort of a template.

| Just a thought here but if the Chard Coat of Arms has not yet been created, perhaps that could be included in the Art Contest in some way (ergo let the citizens have a go at designing it as part of the Festival). | |

OH dear me! LOL, i think it's been more or less concluded, and I am pretty sure that Mike doesn't want to open it up to even more opinions. You are on to something though, we could use the fectival as an official "unvieling" for the CoA. what do you think? Also, Lady M, the "top secret" tag on this thread is about to be obsolete. The Pulp is going to blow your cover in less than 6 hours. Get er done And Aeryn, got your PM, yes. I had already written the draft in fact. Will also add the link you sent. Atri

| Well I just discovered Marshy is leaving us for a few days, and since she hardly seemed to really want to work on this anyway, and Atri was showing interest in this project I'm handing it over to you Atri. Good luck and I hope to get this thing out before Christmas And besides big enormous fancy RP's the point of the minister of role play is to simply promote it on our forums, in the existing (albeit fairly dead) threads, or to create new simple/inviting ones for people to enjoy, we could have simply an rp thread about the town council where we role played our daily lives in here.... at least it would be slightly entertaining and the citizens would know we do something, lol they could even rp coming by to drop off there grievances |

| LOL Good Luck Atri, Role-Plays can be very fun, and rewarding as well. I know you'll do very well at this indeed. Maybe later we can put our heads together on some other projects as well, for I have some other Ideas rattling around up there that need shacking up. | |

| I would be willing to help as a judge in either the poetry or the Art competition. Count me in, and if possible I will give out 1 bottle of milk at 5p to the winner of which ever one I am judging. Say for originality, or something to the effect. | |

| Keep it Simple, Stupid (or Silly).
Atri, count me in for judging whichever booth you need me for. Also, count me in for up to 30 pounds of prizes (assuming meat is worth 17, veggies are 11, corn at 3.40, and money. Any combination is fine by me). If you are willing to make these decisions for me, I am fine with anything you choose.
Passing off decisions, Rebo

Roger sir. Got it. But right now, this damned fesitival is filling my viewscreen. So until I get a target lock on this bogie and ordinance underway. This one gets priority of fire. Ive already PMed teagan about asking Cleophas to do the benediction [per our tavern conversation] and posted a "letter" to Cleophas in his BW church. Am working the draft of the announcement/invitation now. Intend to post in the respective halls and inns of every twon in sommerset and the adjoining towns in our neighboring counties later tonight. Interns, time to get involved. Volunteer or prepare to be drafted. Sgt Atri is locked and cocked and ready to rock. Will edit my previous post with the updates provided thus far, thanks to all! | As he has publicly stated several times his biased dislike for Chard and our Citizens I too expect him to refuse (sorry, he is REALLY bugging me right now), but applaud you and Chard for being the mature one and offering him the olive branch. We really rock!

Yes sir, I understand your feelings. And thank you, I felt it would show the right spirit of reaching out. I appreciate that you recognize it. And, miracles never cease, he HAS accepted. Father Cleo will give the benediction and will attend the festival. He "enjoys a good festival, and life is too short." Hard to argue with that. I know it's a small thing, but it's one tiny step toward putting aside some of the bitterness that Sommerset cant quite seem to put behind her. I also did it to sort of set an example for Chardians, that we need to put aside our ill feelings for this festival. I know it may have been a controversial move. But I made the call, if it blows up, i will take the heat. I am pleased he will do it. Personal like or dislikes aside. Its big of him to agree. I respect that. I am actually looking forward to roleplaying with him. He really does a pretty good job as BWs preist, and he seems to know the Book of Christos very thoroughly. Atri

Atri I am stunned at his acceptance. I laud and respect your decision to reach out the hand. It shall set a great example for all Charidans and People of Somerset. I too look forward to his benediction. Chard never ceases to amaze me!

| If anyone happens to be online now, here is the draft of my announcement. If there are any last minute comments, I need them pronto as I plan to circulate this tonight. You may notice I ditched the Pounce booth. We can always add it at the last minute if someone steps up to run it. And I added a "trust point give away" I'd like to request all the council members save both trust points until the festival and award them to the first level zero players who actually enter any of the events. I will also mention this in the ALMS thread. Might draw in some newcomers and get them involved in role play. Mike sir, I put you donw for 2 free breads, hope thats ok. If not, I will cover the costs. - Quote :
