| The Roles are Out! I'll mail each of you individually (Via In-Game Mail) about your roles. But I'll post a "General" expectation for everyone to judge how a witness should RP. The only restriction I have for witnesses is, "Do not give false evidence!" How and why you give the evidences is up to you.
=====================================================
Roles:
Olivia Carter (Wife): Chandrea Mrs Barclay (Neighbor): Llyres Jonathan Downie (Regular Customer 1): Joesephus Phillip Hoskins (Regular Customer 2): Masterluis Alan Campbell (Best Friend of Deceased): Ploate Jason Hopkins (Rival in Business) : Rninja88
=====================================================
Each of you will receive something like this
Initial Approach Evidence: XXXXX ............
The above is the general idea and feeling of being approached by a detective.
Bribe/Smooth Talk/Persuade Evidence: XXXXXXX..........
After the detectives start to bribe you with a drink, or smooth talk or persuade you (All can be RP), you are to post the above additional evidence. If the detective left you alone, you can choose not to divulge the information.
Generally, Witnesses have the free power to do what they like with the information they have, but they must not give false evidence. | |

| Jannie is unable to travel due to study ingame.
Three options:
One she does her rp'ing for clues in Somerset hall
Two: Rosselle offered to travel with her so they could work on the clues together. Now Jannie cannot travel but if she is willing to have Rosselle godmod her a little they can be a dectective team through mail contact. Rosselle could send what she learns in a letter to be placed in Chard hall for Jannie - Jannie can rp her response there and send a letter back with her thoughts.
Three: Or we ask the lovely Llyres if she could swap with Jannie.
Thoughts? |

| *smiles and curtsies* sorry to be such a pain everyone, i like option 2, but option 3 maybe the easiest for everyone concerned, if llyres is able and willing to swap? and thank you Bones for trying to sort out my inability to read | |

| Option 2 is the best in my opinion. She'll still be involved during the accusation Besides, non-detectives are allowed to have their fun at the ooc thread with their own version of how the murder took place. I've received the confirmation of the witnesses. Things are set to go. For every 3 days I'll mail the mayors to place a clue in their tavern. The clues are kinda obvious so the game shouldn't last more then 15 days. | |

| Chief Bones asked for my input on Jannie's situation...I am willing to take whichever role is best for all though in truth I wasn't thinking of travel at this time (i'd have to wait til next harvest to start) as for my detective abilities ... (umm Colonel Mustard in the broom closet again?). If I stay a witness perhaps I could travel to Chard for a day (if option 2 is agreed on), so Jannie can get me drunk...I mean so she can interview Mrs. Barclay. Maybe I'll bring a few cats with me.... | |

| Well, I think what is most important, as witnesses, is to let the detectives know where they can find you. If you post in the Murder! Thread about where you'll be visiting, they can plan to "catch" you in town. Communication is the key Oh, the Murder! Begins 21st August, that's tomorrow. ; Good luck people hehehe | |

| Thread one : Title RP: Murder Game - Quote :
- ooc: For rules and witness roles or any furture ooc comments see the occ game thread
Scene of crime
Called to Tobias Carter’s Trinket Shop after a report of a murder, you first take a look around outside. You note that the nearest neighbor must live in the house opposite. Then you pause to look in the shop window, noticing the various small items of jewellery and household ornaments on display. Finally, you open the door and enter, unsure what you shall find within.
You walk inside and look around. The shop is a mess, with some of the items lying around on the floor. You can see the evidence of a struggle at the counter and, nearby, an overturned table.
Two constables are standing in the shop and, as they move aside to let you pass, you see a man lying sprawled on the floor, and his arms outspread helplessly ... dead!
On talking to the constables, you hear their report. The murdered man is the proprietor, Tobias Carter. It seems the shopkeeper may have been taking an inventory of his stock, as he still holds the list of the goods in his hand. The constables have checked this list against the goods remaining in the shop and assure you that nothing is missing.
The constables report that they have checked around and Mr Carter seems to have been married, and a quiet business man that kept to himself most of the time. He may have had a dream of getting rich, like all common men, but it seems he had no known bad habits.
However, you know you will need to gather more information and to interview anyone you think might know something that could lead you to identifying the murderer.
Obviously, you will have to interview Mr Carter’s wife, Olivia. Although a grieving widow, she may have information that could help with your case.
Also, you think that perhaps the neighbor in the house opposite, Mrs Barclay, might perhaps have noticed something at the time of the murder. You should probably ask her about it.
Asking the constables a few more pertinent questions, you ascertain the names of a few other people that it might be worth interviewing. The constables have checked Mr Carter’s books and have identified a couple of regular customers, and you resolve to talk to them in case they might know something useful. They are Jonathan Downie and Philip Hoskins.
It seems that Mr Carter had a particular best friend, Alan Campbell, who might also have some useful insights into the case.
And the constables tell you of a rival jeweler and trinket shop – you certainly should talk to Jason Hopkins.
Now...you must use your skills of detection to unmask the murderer of Tobias Carter. Will post the other thread I intend to use once I have access to the forum again. Comments please? Anyone got a better picture?

Title ~ Ooc: Bystander’s Gossip corner for murder game
Murder! Murder!
=============================================
How to Play it?
You have a Game Master, Murderer, Detectives, Clues, Witnesses and a Thriller of a game.
FYI, its not a "real" murder, just a game
Murderer : Can be anyone, but he/she must not divulge his/her identity.
Accomplices: Can be anyone, but he/she must not divulge his/her identity.
Clues: A careful description of the murder scene will be mentioned in the Opening RP. Participants will have to mail the Game Master on which part of the "Murder Scene" they wish to look into. Each have access to 3 clues request.
Witnesses: Anyone can be a witness, but he/she might not be telling the truth, cause he/she might be the murderer or accomplice.
Thriller of a Game:
Detectives will have to travel to different towns to interview the Witnesses. Witnesses can be found in their town forum as well as town hall tavern. The Menu on the town hall tavern, or any participating taverns, shall include bonus "clues" on their menus.
The first person who posts the accusations, backed with clues, witness statement and if they want, how the murder is done, Wins!
=================================================== Instructions
1.If you're the murderer, accomplice or witness, you're NEVER to divulge any information unless intended by the Game Master.
2.You need to have at least 3 clues/evidence/witness to make an accusation.
3.Your accusation must be role-played.
4. You can only make one accusation every 24hrs when you have at least 3 clues/evidence/witnesses. Meaning, if you posted at 4.53pm, you can only post after 4.52pm the next day.
=================================================== The Roles are Out! I'll mail each of you individually (Via In-Game Mail) about your roles. But I'll post a "General" expectation for everyone to judge how a witness should RP. The only restriction I have for witnesses is, "Do not give false evidence!" How and why you give the evidences is up to you.

Giving a polite nod, James moves to the detectives Rossellee and Jannie. "Miladies, we'll need all the help we can get. The only rules so far is for the accusation to be RPish, with at least 3 evidences on hand and a clear description of how the murder was performed. Teams, alliances, information gathering, spies...all are allowed. But there will only be one winner...So a team will have to decide who will post the accusation. Have fun and let the ooc chatter begin!
Though to be fair - Why can't a team win? |

| Plus - unless the story has been changed, as the murder scene appears to have been rewritten - the presence of the blood in the picture may well suggest a clue, which may or may not be correct. | |

Wait I am confused - what has been rewritten? I took the murder scene from this thread it is just a copy of what James and you wrote. Or is there another scene I am suppose to be using? luja wrote: - Quote :
