| Christmas is fast approaching...I am assuming the committee will want to do something to celebrate. Ummmm lets see I stole a drinking game involving dice throws Lets see we can change it a little to say an egg nog competition...ummm we don't drink egg nog in NZ cause santa wears shorts but I am told its a christmas drink....the big question is does it have alcohol in it? (I think it does) . Also what do you think about running this game on the SAS competition page - finding the SAS's biggest drinker? The fact that this forum has a dice throw makes it impossible for them to cheat. - Quote :
- This is how the Drinking Game will work wrote:
In every round, all participants have to roll 3d6 at the following site
http://dicelog.com/dice
In each round, there is a number to beat. The starting number will be 4. If you get 4 and above, you have succeeded and will move on to the next round with a RP post. If you don't succeed in beating the number, you fail and have to RP passing out or anything else that will result you in leaving the game. The number is increased for each round. Last man or woman standing wins.
All participants must post within 48 hours or they will be disqualified. Roll results must be posted in the post, no screenshot required.
If you are not a participant, please do not post in this thread. You are more than welcome to comment on the game at ------ Tavern Dress the christmas tree - we place a tree in the square and everyone posts a picture of the decoration that they place on the tree. Snow ball fight - role play, kind of explains its self Snowman build - everyone role plays and posts a picture of a snow creation and we judge the winner of the best snowman (pictures would have to stay in character - no snow cars etc) Christmas pressie hunt - grid of boxes which we hide things like corn, milk etc and people pick 5 boxes and at the end they get the ingame prize if they are lucky. Let me know what you think of the above ideas, which ones should we run? and does anyone have other ideas?...I can't run them over christmas as I will be in retreat but we could run them a little early - A week or two before? Or this depends on me being back in Somerset too, unless someone else wishes to post them? |

| Good grief, you're right, Bones - Christmas is not far off! The drinking game sounds great. Yes, egg nog is alcoholic! Or we could make it mulled wine - less sickly for the men, perhaps? I like the Dress the Christmas Tree one - I think that was done in the Regent's Castle last year, which I enjoyed. Could make it a pull, showing which town each decoration comes from, perhaps. Snowball fight sounds fun! How about having an ice rink and RP people skating - some could be good at it, others fall over or skate out of control. Building snowmen or snow creations also sounds good. I like the idea of the Christmas present hunt as well, and would be happy to donate a prize or two for that. I'm happy to run some of them, if it helps. | |

Oh and what about New Year? I will have corn for the presents or I can buy some other products to use, if I was at home I would make a boat. |

| I've been playing with posters. I think the events list needs changing since we've already started the drinking competition - and I've gone off the font I used for them anyway, so would be changing it! If you want me to carry on with getting it ready, I will, or if you have another poster, I shan't be offended if you don't want this! | |

| I think I confused you with the drinking game...sorry Patan. I meant too run one on this site for the SAS and run a separate one for Somerset Inn Citizens. Which would be the christmas one with the mulled wine. We could put the winner of the SAS competition up as the one to beat? The poster looks great Patan, thank you so much for doing that. I think we need to add the words... All citizens of England are welcome to join in and help celebrate ...might help reduce any masked people claiming we are destroying the forum again. I will start working on the grid for the present hunt...I have a whole heap of corn in my house that we can use or we can sell it and buy some different prizes (this will depend on me being back). I will start looking for pictures for the other threads and post them here when I think I have found something suitable. I still do not know when I will be home but I will help as much as I am able. |

or random like 1 sits on the platform ready to be dinked for 2 days each or something. I first saw the "Dunk the Mayor" in Dorchester and it was a great hit! Then we had it in Chard and not as popular but in Somerset Inn and dunking the council..I think it might go over well I will write up a proposal for council to discuss if you all think its a good idea. I will also volunteer to have players mail me with their ticket and I will mail them their random numbers. Unless you feel like doing it Jannie? Your much better RPer than I 1-2 missed the target completely 3-4 nick the target 5-6 Direct Hit!
What do you think? I have her premission to quote the above. Jannie wanted to know if we could add it in with the christmas celebrations? |

| I am having a little trouble finding a picture of a bare christmas tree for the decorating thread...this picture might work if you role play chopping it down.
http://www.superiortreefarm.com/images/trees1.jpg
Prehaps you can come up with something better.
Ice skating hmm I have no clue as what picture to use...

| I like the idea of the Dunk the Councillor...oh, wait...I'm suddenly on the Council again. Hmm... Yes, it's difficult to find the right pictures for the trees and skating - I had a little look, too. Most of the skating ones show people in modern dress, so maybe that drawing might be the best one. I'll have another quick look later today, in case I happen across anything else, though. What about this for the tree? Not perfect but it might work? (Edited to make the base a bit more solid.)I've been playing around with the poster. Yes? No? Changes?

| I've been having a think about the poster. Perhaps if we're having a New Year celebration as well, the icy-looking one I did might be better for that? I was thinking that perhaps Christmas might be a more "comforting" feel... What do you think? I can change any of the bits, if there's something in particular that's wrong. | |
